Intense mobilisation, Ligue 1 shaken before October 31

For the third consecutive week, the mobilisation is set to be strong and intense on Saturday 31 October, in the image of the particularly eventful Saturday 17 October and the less marked but still followed Saturday 24. This tension has led the closing match of the 8th round of Ligue 1 between PSG and OL to be postponed to Monday evening.

This weekend, the popular unrest linked to the requisition of police forces at sensitive points around the protests has not been without impact on the organization of the French championship.

Two matches have already been postponed, and it appears that the 9th act of the national elite competition will also be disrupted at the end of the week.

Postponement of the Merlus – Brest match

At the request of the Morbihan prefecture, the Professional Football League has moved the fixture between Merlus and Stade Brestois, originally scheduled for Saturday at 20 h 45, to Monday 2 November at the same time.

The Nice‑Rennes match, scheduled for 17 h 15 on Saturday 31 October, has also been moved forward to Friday 30 October at 19 h, at the request of the Alpes‑Maritimes prefecture.

This change is made in view of a possible postponement of the Breton side's Europa League match against Olympiakos, scheduled for Thursday 5 November, with a rescheduling considered for Wednesday the 4th due to the announced social movements.
