Hull City owner declares he is done with rumors, reveals transfer list
Today at 21:51, Hull City owner Acun Ilicali used X to publish a list of players the newly promoted English Premier League club is targeting, adding that he is ‘ready with rumors’ and wants to put an end to speculation surrounding the squad.
Hull City secured promotion last season by defeating Middlesbrough in the play‑off final, earning a place in the Premier League for the first time since their recent rise.
The club has already reinforced the squad, signing goalkeeper Jack Butland, midfielder Oscar Zambrano and defender Matt Targett as part of the summer recruitment drive.
‘Best Hull City family, we read dozens of false transfer rumors in various places,’ the owner wrote on X. ‘We are disturbed by we have been rejected and by the misuse of our club name to attract attention.’
‘We have worked intensively over the past two months. I believe we will build a team we can all be proud of,’ Ilicali added.
To curb speculation, Ilicali said he is sharing the latest status of the transfer market, including several hints about potential signings.
According to Hull Live, one of the hinted players is Japanese midfielder Kodai Sano, with a reported 60 % chance of joining the club.
