Hot duel in Amsterdam: Dumfries accuses Kimmich of his playing style

Dumfries explained that after the conceding goal he confronted Kimmich and feels that the behaviour is not acceptable.

The 30‑year‑old Dumfries emphasised that the German eleven must continue playing more consistently in such moments. He saw the talk with the captain as a necessary step to make a difference.

The incident remained a focal point after the final whistle, because the Dutch were still irritated by Nmecha's action. The discussion about Kimmich's style of play could further fuel the second leg on 16 November at Berlin's Olympiastadion.
