Hoffenheim chase pace: Adam Daghim signs from RB Salzburg
Twenty‑year‑old forward Adam Daghim has completed a permanent move from RB Salzburg to Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, ending a three‑year spell with the Austrian club that included a loan at feeder team Liefering and a recent Bundesliga stint on loan at Wolfsburg.
Daghim arrived at RB Salzburg as a teenager and spent three seasons developing within the Austrian side’s youth and senior structures. His progression through Salzburg’s ranks attracted attention from clubs seeking a dynamic attacker.
During the 2023/24 campaign he was loaned to Salzburg’s feeder club Liefering, gaining regular playing time in the Austrian second tier. The spell at Liefering allowed him to adapt to senior football and showcase his speed.
The following season he earned his first top‑flight exposure through a loan to Wolfsburg, where he added Bundesliga experience to his résumé. His performances in the German top flight demonstrated his ability to compete at a higher level.
Hoffenheim sporting director Andreas Schicker said Adam is a young, talented player and, with his skills and tremendous pace, was the obvious choice for the profile we were looking for. "At just 20 years of age, he has great potential for development and can already draw on international experience at club level and with the national team," Schicker added.
Schicker added that Daghim’s familiarity with the Bundesliga from his Wolfsburg loan will help him adapt quickly to Hoffenheim’s system, offering the club a pace‑driven option while giving the player a platform to continue his growth. For Hoffenheim, the signing bolsters their attacking depth, while Daghim gains a stable environment to further his international ambitions.
