Harry Kane sets Bundesliga record with 100th goal in 98 games

England forward Harry Kane, who joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, became the fastest player in Bundesliga history to reach 100 league goals. He achieved the milestone on 18 September during the fourth‑round match against Union Berlin, starting the game and converting a penalty in the 39th minute.

Kane added a second strike with a header in the 54th minute, contributing to Bayern Munich’s 7‑0 victory. The penalty was his 100th Bundesliga goal, reached in just 98 appearances, eclipsing former West Germany forward Dieter Müller’s record of 129 matches.

After the win, Kane said: “I think we were looking forward to a game like this this season,” and added that the performance was “the highest level from start to finish, and I want to savour the joy now.”
