Harry Kane celebrates record night, inspires Three Lions fans

In the glow of the stadium lights, Harry Kane looked after a “perfect evening” into the cheering faces of the Three Lions fans, while ITV’s television crew broadcast the scene. The captain described the moment as “truly proud”, a feeling that further amplified the three goals against the Czech Republic.

New Record for England

In the 125th international match, Kane, the new English record international player, broke the long‑standing record of goalkeeper Peter Shilton. In doing so, he overtook the former record holder and cemented his status as the player with the most appearances for England.

Kane led Thomas Tuchel’s side with a forced own goal in the 27th minute and then scored in the 40th and 57th minutes, which were counted as goals 90 and 91. These actions gave England a 3‑0 victory over the Czech Republic, which fans presented as fantastic football.

“As a striker you wait for such chances,” Kane said, emphasizing the proud moment once more. The 33‑year‑old captain called the match the highlight of his career.

Thomas Tuchel praised the 33‑year‑old as a “legend of English football” and emphasized that he would inspire countless young people to play football and pursue a similar career. With this win, Tuchel recorded his 20th victory in his 26th stint as England’s national coach, surpassing Walter Winterbottom.

Midfield star Jude Bellingham added that Kane is “the best English player to ever wear the shirt” and linked his extraordinary goal ratio and fighting spirit to the captain’s example.
