Harry Kane breaks Müller's record in just 98 matches

Under the lights of Signal Iduna Park on Friday evening, the captain of England led Bayern Munich to a crushing victory over Union Berlin. The attack rattled the nets seven times, including a brace from Harry Kane who reached the symbolic milestone of one hundred goals in the Bundesliga.

A record eclipsing that of Müller

In just three seasons, Harry Kane has scored 152 goals and provided 34 assists for Bayern Munich. He reached one hundred goals in only 98 appearances, whereas the legendary Dieter Müller took 129 matches to reach the same milestone in 1977.

"I am very proud to have scored 100 and 101 goals in the Bundesliga. I haven't been here for that long. I loved every moment," said the Bayern number 9 to Sky Germany.

He added: "With Michael Olise, Lucho Diaz and Jamal Musiala, I naturally have chances and today was no exception. I want to thank the team, the club, the coach Vincent Kompany and the staff, everyone who helped me get here. Let's keep this momentum!"

Since the start of the season, Kane has found the back of the net six times and provided an assist in seven matches across all competitions. He has already won the European Golden Shoe twice since his arrival in Bavaria, including once last season, after his spell at Tottenham.

This new milestone places Harry Kane as the leading contender for the top scorer title, consolidating his status as a central figure in German football.
