Gullit slams Milan‑Juve disaster, asks Amorim for confidence in Ramos
Gullit said Milan defined last year's Milan‑Juve match a disaster, stating that Amorim serves and that Ramos needs to be supported by the rest of the team, adding that confidence is essential to get back to the level of the past.
On the occasion of IFA 2026, the former Milan player was a guest of Haier in Berlin, where the appliance brand formalised a partnership with the UEFA Champions League that will start next season. The phrase “Choose as your preferred source on Google La” was quoted in the press release, highlighting the event's visibility.

The 64‑year‑old commented on Milan’s performance in the Champions, observing: “I’m sorry, certain teams have the Cup in their DNA. Last year the Rossoneri were one step away from qualification, but they wasted months of hard work.” He also recalled the era of Silvio Berlusconi, when Italian clubs were the richest.

Regarding the comparison with Juventus, Gullit recalled: “Last year I saw Milan‑Juventus at the San Siro, it was a disaster. Zero goals, zero spectacle.” He then mentioned his goal on 10 January 1988 against Juventus, calling it “special” for its decisive importance.
On the future striker, he said: “I like Gonçalo Ramos, but you can’t expect a striker to solve all the problems. Ramos deserves confidence, but he needs to be supported by the rest of the team.” He also emphasized Amorim’s importance in giving time to the new project.
Finally, Gullit spoke about Rafael Leão, stating that “it’s right to let Leão go, he delivered a superb performance every ten games.” He compared Van Basten’s consistency, adding: “Do you know what the difference is between a strong player and a superstar? Certain things, if you’re a superstar, you don’t do them only once.” Concluding, he expressed hope: “I hope something changes this time.”
