Graziani warns Napoli that Lukaku's stubbornness could cost the club

Inside the studio of Radio Kiss Kiss, former striker Francesco Graziani opened his analysis of SSC Napoli’s attacking line‑up, noting that Romelu Lukaku’s future hangs in the balance and that the club must act quickly. He painted a vivid picture of a squad at a crossroads, with uncertainty surrounding both Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca while Rasmus Hojlund was confirmed as a solid option for the upcoming Serie A campaign.

Graziani said the current strength of Napoli’s attack was under close examination, highlighting the uncertain futures of Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca and confirming Hojlund as a consolidated choice for next season. He also stressed the club’s need to maximise every possible sale.

He declared that Rasmus Hojlund is a certainty for the Napoli attack, leaving no doubt about his role. The former forward made it clear that Hojlund’s place in the side is unquestioned.

Regarding Lorenzo Lucca, Graziani added that little remains to be evaluated, suggesting the Belgian striker could be a “provincial” player and that his performances have been unsatisfactory. He implied that Lucca’s impact has not met expectations.

Turning to Romelu Lukaku, Graziani observed that the striker’s future is already defined, having effectively ended his period two months before the close of last season. He noted that Lukaku’s tenure with Napoli concluded well before the season’s final weeks.

He warned that SSC Napoli will try by any means to finalise a sale, as Lukaku still has one year left on his contract and the club hopes to collect a fee. The club’s intention to cash in was presented as a priority.

Graziani cautioned that the price is no longer sustainable if the player becomes obstinate and demands “here or elsewhere”, putting the club in a difficult position. He explained that such a stalemate would heavily burden the season’s budget.

Looking ahead to the next Serie A season, he placed Napoli among potential title contenders, suggesting the club could compete with Inter, Juventus and Milan if the right pieces are chosen. He framed Napoli as a possible challenger for the scudetto.

He downplayed the importance of summer friendlies, stating they offer only limited indication of the team’s quality. The former striker argued that preseason matches provide a narrow view of future performance.

The analysis was published on Google Discover, listed in the press sources section, and reached a wide audience through the digital platform. Its visibility was highlighted as a factor in spreading the message.
