Bayern's massive offer for Michael Olise makes Real Madrid doubt
In the Munich stadium, where Bayern start their season, Michael Olise's future has become the hottest talking point since the summer. Board member Karl‑Heinz Rummenigge signals optimism, while a supposedly gigantic offer from Bayern is said to be on the table and Real Madrid watches the developments closely.
Rummenigge emphasizes long‑term commitment
Rummenigge explained that both Olise and top scorer Harry Kane want to stay at FC Bayern for a long time. While Kane is already close to a contract extension until 2029, Olise is expected to enter negotiations after Kane's deal is finalized.
Sky most recently reported a breakthrough in the talks. The 71‑year‑old Rummenigge said: “I hope and am also very confident that Harry will extend his contract soon. And that Michael will be the next. I would like him to stay at Bayern for a long time.”
Contract offer until 2032 with record salary
According to Sky, Bayern plan to keep Olise until 2032 and pay him an annual salary that exceeds the roughly €25 million earned by Kane and Jamal Musiala. His current salary of €14 million would therefore be far surpassed, making him the club’s record earner.
Player representative Glen Tweneboah has so far taken no steps to extend the working paper dated to 2029. Instead, the new offer is expected to be presented next summer to persuade Olise to sign immediately.
Bayern duo challenge Ballon d'Or tradition as Kane and Olise shine
Another point is the possible release clause. Olise already secured one at Crystal Palace, his former club, which signed him for Bayern in the summer of 2024 for €53 million. Max Eberl, however, confirmed that the current working paper does not contain such a clause.
Observers at Real Madrid assume that Olise will extend his contract in Munich, but from his perspective a signing would only be acceptable with a guaranteed release clause. In addition to Real, Liverpool also shows strong interest, while Manchester City appears to have dropped out of the race for the exceptional talent due to a financial scandal.
Max Eberl set the direction in September: “We should know by next summer whether there is a tendency for him to extend or not.” Time is of the essence, as a possible deal beyond the €200 million mark is already being discussed as realistic.
Arsenal and Liverpool eye Bayern teen Lennart Karl if Olise departs
Whether Olise ultimately becomes one of the highest‑paid players in the world could not only reshape FC Bayern’s wage structure, but also sustainably influence the transfer strategies of other top clubs.
