Gabriel Jesus' El Clásico, first time in a blaugrana shirt

Gabriel Jesus scored Barcelona's second goal in the LaLiga EA Sports 2026/27 matchday against Getafe CF, at the Spotify Camp Nou in Barcelona, SPAIN, OCTOBER 10, 2026. The strike consolidated the home side's lead and marked the decisive moment of the match.

Dream fulfilled in the Clasico

“It is truly a dream to play in this clásico for the first time,” Gabriel Jesus told CazeTV, adding that he had always wanted to wear the blaugrana shirt. The striker recalled having expressed his excitement in several interviews and described the Clasico as one of the most important matches in the world. On October 10 he emphasized that his wish had become reality.

In his career, Jesus has faced Real Madrid three times, always wearing the Manchester City FC shirt in the UEFA Champions League. He scored at the Bernabeu on February 26, 2020, equalising 1‑1 after Isco's goal, and City won 2‑1; he scored again in the second leg, also 2‑1. He also scored in April 2022 at the Etihad Stadium during a 4‑3 victory.

He never played against Real Madrid as Arsenal FC, so he did not register any goals against them in that period.

Since his arrival at Barcelona, Jesus has shown good form, accumulating four goals since his debut in Spain.

The goal against Getafe and Jesus's statement underline the fulfillment of his dream of taking part in the Clasico, reinforcing his key role in the blaugrana attack.
