From Dutch success to Italian challenge: Ichem Ferrah joins Pisa

Ichem Ferrah leaves a convincing season in the Pays-Bas behind to embark on a new adventure in Italy, swapping Lille’s training grounds for the Serie B arena of Pisa SC. The 20‑year‑old Alg winger, who impressed in the Dutch league, officially departed the LOSC on Friday.

The LOSC confirmed that Ferrah’s contract was terminated on Friday, ending his long‑term association with the northern French club. The move was announced as final and official by Pisa SC later that same day.

Pisa SC, a Serie B side, announced the signing of the Algerian winger on a four‑year deal running until June 2030. The transfer fee is estimated at around €2 million, excluding any bonuses.

Ferrah entered the Lille academy at the age of 13 and spent over a decade developing within the LOSC system. He was not part of the club’s plans for the upcoming season and missed the summer preparation overseen by Davide Ancelotti.

After being excluded from Lille’s preseason, Ferrah sought a fresh challenge, first joining Rouen on loan and then moving to SC Cambuur for a second loan spell. Both loans were intended to give him regular playing time and exposure.

During the 2025‑2026 season with Cambuur, Ferrah made 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists across 2 661 minutes. His contributions were instrumental in Cambuur’s promotion to the Eredivisie.

Pisa SC sees Ferrah as a promising talent capable of adding speed and percussion on the flanks. The club expects him to bring dynamism to their wing play in Serie B.

Ferrah now aims to confirm his potential in Italy, hoping to continue his progression and reach a new milestone in his career. The move to Pisa represents both a test and an opportunity to showcase his abilities on a different stage.
