Four Sterkhouders remain at Vitesse after Van Ginkel’s exit

Vandaag, Vitesse confirmed that it will now be owned by four Sterkhouders instead of five, after André van Ginkel terminated his shareholding and transferred his stakes to the remaining investors. The change was announced on Monday through the club’s official channels, signalling a continued commitment to its sporting ambitions.

The club emphasised that “the chosen course with ambitions for a sporting future will be continued unabated.”

Robert Kramer, Arthur Leenders, Wolf Nathan and Ronald Ruijtenberg are now the four Sterkhouders. The three first shareholders have taken over the shares previously held by Van Ginkel.

“My mission from the start has been to rescue and preserve Vitesse,” said Van Ginkel. “The club has asked much of me over the years and I have committed wholeheartedly. I am proud to have contributed during a difficult period, but my own business also demands my time, so I have decided to end my stake in Vitesse.”

The remaining shareholders added, “We are very grateful to André for everything he has meant for Vitesse. He has contributed in a special way and helped rescue the club. His departure is a personal and considered decision. We respect his choice and wish him success with his business. Our involvement as shareholders in Vitesse’s future remains strong.”

The club also recalled that the previous week it received positive news regarding its continued existence.
