Fonseca signs until 2030, Sporting invests 7 million

Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca arrived in Lisbon on Tuesday evening to finalise his agreement with Sporting CP, where he is expected to sign a contract running until 2030. Welcomed by the local press at the airport, he said he was very happy to return to Portugal and Sporting, promising to answer questions as soon as he can.
After managing his likely final match on Sunday against Angers, which ended in a 2-0 victory, he officially announced his departure in the Olympique Lyonnais locker room on Monday.
He succeeds Rui Borges, dismissed this weekend despite a win at Casa Pia, as head of Sporting.
For his trip, Fonseca takes a full staff consisting of Paulo Ferreira (assistant), António Ferreira (goalkeepers), Paulo Mourão (fitness coach) and Nelson Duarte (analyst), while Jorge Maciel remains in Lyon.
