Flick’s vision shapes Barcelona’s pursuit of German striker Adeyemi

24‑year‑old German forward Karim Adeyemi has joined Barcelona, fulfilling the requirements outlined by head coach Hansi Flick, who praised his fit for the Catalan giants. Adeyemi said he has full confidence in Flick and believes the move will help the club achieve its goals.

Adeyemi cited Flick as the main reason for his decision, stating, “I spoke with him and have full confidence in him.” He added that Flick explained what the club needs and that he is ready to do whatever the team requires.

The forward completed his transfer from Borussia Dortmund after four seasons in the Bundesliga, marking the latest addition to Barcelona’s attacking options as they look to refresh their squad.

Flick previously worked with Adeyemi while serving as Germany’s head coach, a professional relationship that dates back to Flick’s tenure leading the national side.

Adeyemi was capped four times under Flick in 2021, scoring his sole international goal on his debut in a World Cup qualifier against Armenia in September 2021.

Introducing himself, Adeyemi promised, “Flick can count on me to give my all for him, for the team, and for the fans,” and concluded, “I’m ready to give it all for this ‘family’ in which everyone sticks together.”
