Fiorentina’s trophy cabinet contrasts historic glory with past relegations

How many (Quanti) trophies has Fiorentina collected? The Tuscan club boasts ten major honours, yet its history also records three relegations that forced the side back into the lower leagues, a stark contrast between triumph and adversity.

Glorious trophy haul

Fiorentina’s cabinet holds two league titles (Scudetti), six Coppa Italia trophies, one Supercoppa Italiana and the prestigious Cup Winners' Cup, bringing the total to ten (Coppa, Italia, Supercoppa, Italiana). The recent Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana victories are documented by Source (Fonte: Ansa Photo) (Ansa, Foto). These achievements sit alongside memorable matches (Tra) that have cemented the club’s legendary status.

International minor honours

Beyond domestic success, Fiorentina claimed two minor international titles not recognised by UEFA: the 1966 Mitropa Cup, won 1‑0 against Jednota Trencin with Mario Brugnera scoring, and the 1975 Anglo‑Italian League Cup, where a 1‑0 first‑leg win by Guerini was sealed in the return leg by Speggiorin after West Ham’s FA Cup triumph.

The club’s early rise began with a Serie B championship in 1930‑31 under Hungarian coach Gyula Feldmann, edging Bari and Palermo and securing promotion alongside Galletti.

In 1938‑39 the side fought in Serie C, clinching the title under German forward Rudolf Soutschek, finishing two points ahead of Venezia.

After a dramatic drop in 1992‑93, Fiorentina rebounded in 1993‑94, winning the third Serie C title. Gabriel Omar Batistuta netted 16 goals, Claudio Ranieri guided the team to 50 points, five clear of Bari and seven ahead of Cesena.

The financial collapse of 2002 forced a restart in Serie C2. Christian Riganò emerged as a key figure, while veteran Vierchowod was dismissed after nine games to make way for Alberto Cavasin. The campaign ended with 70 points, eleven clear of Rimini.

These contrasting chapters (De) (La) illustrate a club that, despite setbacks, continually rebuilds and adds to its storied collection, ensuring Fiorentina remains one of Italy’s most revered football institutions.
