A direct loan of €120,000 is also said to have been requested from Mbappé, paid through his mother.

He is said to have helped Lamari settle dental costs and fund personal expenses, while also facilitating visas, securing a residence and arranging urgent hospitalization for a relative. Messages such as “I will always be there” and “For the family, I will go to war if necessary” attest to this closeness.
On September 16, 2026, Mohamed Sanhadji was formally charged with corruption, fraud, concealment of misappropriation of public funds and money laundering of tax fraud. He avoided pre‑trial detention by posting a €80,000 bail and is now barred from working in football.
