Feyenoord-transfer: Forest's €20m bid prompts third offer
Nottingham Forest have tabled a reported €20 million offer for 20‑year‑old Read, the Feyenoord‑transfer target, aiming to secure the winger for the Premier League as the Dutch club has so far turned down multiple bids and is preparing a third proposal while the player publicly expresses his desire to join Forest.
Forest are eager to add Read after recently securing the headline fee for midfielder Elliot Anderson, whose €135 million move to Manchester City underscored the club’s willingness to invest in top‑flight talent for the Premier League.
Read has a contract with Feyenoord until mid‑2029 and turns out his home matches at De Kuip. He was previously linked with Man City, Bayern München and Internazionale, and he captained Feyenoord in a recent friendly against Rayo Vallecano.
Hoewel Feyenoord has rejected the initial offer, Transferjournalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that FR12 reported a €20 million bid from Nottingham Forest and that a third bid is now in the pipeline.
If the third proposal materialises, Forest could secure a promising winger for the Premier League, while Feyenoord would lose a player under a long‑term contract but could still command a substantial fee, maintaining their financial flexibility.
