Feyenoord spurns €25m Roma bid for Givairo Read, eyes Molina

In a stark studio shot credited to Pro Shots, photographers Kay and VeenGivairo capture the Feyenoord Rotterdam crest hanging over a contract table, the atmosphere tense as the club formally rejects AS Roma’s €25 million offer for striker Givairo Read, signalling a shift toward Argentine right‑back Nahuel Molina.

The reported offer stood at €25 million, not counting an additional €4 million in bonuses. Roma’s bid was the final one presented to Feyenoord.

Givairo Read had been explicitly placed on AS Roma’s radar, but the Dutch side refused the final proposal. The club’s decision reflects a reluctance to sell the striker at that valuation.

Feyenoord also turned down overtures from Nottingham Forest. Technical director Dévy Rigaux dismissed those offers outright.

According to several Italian media outlets, Roma has redirected its attention to Nahuel Molina. Molina is an Argentine right‑back currently playing for Atlético Madrid.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano cited a €13 million fee plus €4 million in bonuses for Molina. That sum is considerably lower than the €25 million demanded for Read.

There is reported interest in Feyenoord’s forwards Anis Hadj Moussa and Ayase Ueda, though no formal bids have emerged. Both players remain under contract with the Rotterdam club.

The summer transfer window stays open until 1 September at 23:59, allowing clubs to finalize deals before the deadline. Negotiations can continue up to that point.
