FC Twente’s chase for Ramiz Zerrouki hits Feyenoord’s €6 million price
FC Twente’s board and coach are hunting Algerian midfielder Ramiz Zerrouki every day, while Feyenoord holds the 28‑year‑old on a contract that runs until next summer and is asking for roughly €6 million to release him. The club in Enschede hopes to secure his return this summer, despite uncertainty over the deal’s feasibility.
Zerrouki spent the previous campaign on loan at FC Twente after the Enschede club secured him from Feyenoord. The playmaker has expressed a desire to leave Feyenoord, a club that also prefers to part ways with him.
Coach John van den Brom said, “Ramiz is my first option. Not only for me, but for the whole club.” The statement underscores the coach’s personal priority in the transfer agenda.
Van den Brom added that he has “good hope” but cannot guarantee the move’s feasibility. He explained, “The only thing I can do is contact him. And everyone is taking part. He is stalked by everything and everyone, haha.” He noted that securing Zerrouki would mean retaining all midfielders from the previous season.
Zerrouki’s representatives have been presenting offers across Europe, according to reports earlier this week. The Algerian international remains under contract with Feyenoord until the summer of next year.
Feyenoord would like to receive about six million euros for the midfielder’s transfer.
