FC Nantes face Stade de Reims without Corredor in starting line-up

Killian Corredor has rejoined the FC Nantes squad for the Saturday 14:00 Ligue 2 encounter with Stade de Reims, but the striker is not expected to start the match. The Canaris are back in competition after a three‑week pause and will look to extend their climb up the table.

Injuries and squad availability

Corredor’s return follows a hamstring injury that kept him off the pitch for several weeks; he even featured in a friendly against Lorient during the break. Nevertheless, fan John Baltimore warned that the forward may lack match rhythm and could be spared a starting role.

Mathieu Cafaro also remains unavailable, nursing a quadriceps problem that rules him out of the Reims visit. In his absence, Nantes could reshape the attack with Thomas Robinet leading the line, Ignatius Ganago on the left and Dehmaine Tabibou on the right, a configuration that would preserve depth while granting wing players freedom.

Poirier's tactical vision

Head coach Grégory Poirier stressed the need to build a genuine collective, saying, “I remain focused on the objective I have had since the start: to combine good players and create a collective. Sometimes it takes time, sometimes it takes automatism.” He added that the recent international break allowed the staff to work intensively on offensive movements and line‑to‑line coordination.

The return of Corredor provides an extra option, but Poirier must decide whether to integrate him gradually or risk starting him outright. The upcoming match at the Beaujoire stadium will serve as a crucial test for the Canaris, with banners expected about the ongoing sale process involving Paulo Tavares.
