Ex‑Bundesliga coach Tedesco faces the axe at Bologna
Former Bundesliga coach Domenico Tedesco, who previously worked as a Bundesliga coach, is already facing the sack just a few weeks after taking charge at Bologna, after the team collected only one point in the first four games and he received a suspension. Italian media are reporting a looming split, while the league has already taken action.
Short tenure and lack of wins
Former Schalke and Leipzig manager Domenico Tedesco arrived on the sidelines of Serie A side FC Bologna in July. After winless outings the team remained without success. In the first four Serie A matches he secured only one point with his side and was unable to record a win.
Behaviour incident and suspension
At the start of the month the coach verbally provoked the referee in stoppage time of the 2-2 draw against Sassuolo Calcio and continued the confrontation in the dressing room. After receiving a red card, the league suspended him for two games for “extremely disrespectful behaviour”.
Last weekend the German‑Italian’s team lost 0‑1 in Naples. After four games Bologna sit in 16th place in Serie A.

Club reacts to the crisis
The club has decided to part ways with Tedesco, Italian media and news agency ANSA reported. The club is expected to issue an official statement tomorrow morning.
According to reports, Raffaele Palladino, who coached Fenerbahçe Istanbul last season and has already managed Belgium as national team coach, will take over.
The juxtaposition of Tedesco's brief tenure and the club's swift actions highlights that Bologna reacts quickly to a lack of results and disciplinary incidents.
