Balogun, a product of the Arsenal academy, moved to France four years ago, first impressing at Stade de Reims before joining Monaco. His return would mark a homecoming to England after his stint abroad.

In the 2025‑26 campaign he recorded 19 goals and five assists in 43 appearances across all competitions. His contract runs until 2028 and Transfermarkt values him at roughly €50m.
