England's pressure drives them to provisional Group A3 lead

On Saturday, 03 October 2026, at Stadion Rujevica in Rijeka, Inglaterra delivered a 7‑0 demolition of CRO in the third round of the Liga das Nações. Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham all found the net, while Anthony Gordon, Morgan Rogers and a second strike from Kane completed the rout.

Scoring spree

Harry Kane opened the scoring after eight minutes, and Jude Bellingham added the second at the 20‑minute mark. Anthony Gordon made it three at 38 minutes, before Bukayo Saka struck before half‑time to make it 4‑0. In the second half Kane scored again at eight minutes, Saka doubled his tally at 23 minutes and Morgan Rogers capped the night at 41 minutes. Com the result, England recorded six points.

Table impact

With the win England moves level on six points with Espanha, who still have a game to play, and assumes provisional leadership of Grupo A3. The Spanish side will meet the Czech Republic later on Saturday, while England travel to Wembley for their next fixture.

CRO now sit third in the group with three points, trailing the leaders after their heavy defeat. Their upcoming clash against Espanha on 6 October offers a chance to close the gap.

England’s next match is against the Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium, also on 6 October, where Thomas Tuchel’s side will look to cement their position at the top of the group.

Tuchel’s tactics saw England press from the first minute, denying CRO any breathing space and forcing errors that led to the early goals. The relentless pressure continued throughout both halves, underpinning the comprehensive victory.

The broadcast was supported by ING, and the INGLATERRA squad celebrated the performance as a statement of intent in the Nations League campaign.
