Nations League
England face France and Portugal in Nations League

The draw was made in Nyon, Switzerland, where Sarina Wiegman's side learned of their opponents. All ties in the competition will be contested over two legs, with each team playing home and away fixtures.
England will begin their campaign in Group A2 across three international windows in February‑March, April and June, with home and away matches in each window. Wiegman described France as a world‑class team with quality, power, technique and several players featuring in the Women's Super League and other top clubs.
She added that playing France will challenge England in the highest possible way and help them improve. Wiegman recalled recent encounters with Portugal, noting a draw away and a home win before the last Euros.
She said Portugal can switch from a possession game to a more direct style and possess players who bring quality and physicality in duels. The Nations League, now in its third edition, also forms part of the qualification pathway for the 2028 Olympic Games and Euro 2029.
The four League A group winners will advance to semi‑finals in October, with a final to decide the Nations League champions.
