EA Sports launches FC27 with star‑studded Napoli promo spot

EA Sports has unveiled its latest football video game, FC27, with a new promotional video starring three SSC Napoli first‑team players – goalkeeper Alisson Santos, winger Matteo Politano and defender Juan Camilo "Vergara" Vergara. The spot, titled "Where the streets meet the stadium," showcases the trio answering light‑hearted questions about their football origins, favourite celebrations and personal style, while promoting the game's Early Access launch.

The campaign, released across the club’s official channels and EA’s social platforms, emphasizes the connection between Napoli’s historic neighbourhood streets and the modern stadium, echoing the game’s tagline “Back to where it all began.” Viewers are invited to explore "The Grounds" in FC27, a virtual recreation of Napoli’s iconic training facilities.

In the video, Alisson recalls playing on the sand‑covered pitches of his Brazilian hometown, while Politano jokes about his favourite goal‑celebration – a back‑flip that he hopes to see replicated in the game’s animation library. Vergara, the newest addition to the squad, shares that his avatar in FC27 will be named "El Tigre" and will feature a custom‑cut hairstyle that mirrors his real‑life look.

The players also took part in a playful “who would win” segment, debating a one‑on‑one showdown between Vergara and Alisson, and naming their ideal 2‑vs‑2 teammate – a nod to the game’s new co‑op mode. Their banter about who spends more time at the barber and who curates the locker‑room playlist adds a human touch that the marketing team hopes will resonate with fans.

EA Sports highlighted that the Napoli spot is part of a broader European rollout, with similar videos planned for clubs in England, Spain and Germany. The company expects the early‑access phase to generate strong pre‑order numbers, especially among Southern European markets where Napoli enjoys a massive following.

Fans can watch the full interview‑style promo on the club’s YouTube channel and share their reactions using the hashtag #FC27. The game is set to release globally in October, with pre‑orders now open on major digital storefronts.
