EA FC 27 glitch shows female players in black underwear

When EA FC 27 was launched, gamers saw an unexpected scene: female players and coaches moved in a black sports bra and panties. The bug appeared immediately after the release last Friday. Jordi De Koninck of Sport reported the phenomenon while he followed the first reactions.

Glitch and quick fix

The error forced all female players and coaches to wear only black underwear, even during goal celebrations and embraces. The absurd image led to a lot of astonishment among the millions of players. After worldwide criticism, EA released an emergency update and the glitch has now been removed.

On X a user responded mockingly: “It’s clear why EA FC 27 has the +16 age rating.” The +16 rating, however, is not due to the bug, but because of new PEGI rules that since June automatically place loot‑box games in this category.

“Can he handle this energetic football?” asked Marc Degryse, referring to Romelu Lukaku’s situation. Additionally, “Our football chief” noted that the Red Devils under Mark van Bommel no longer hide in a bunker: “Was everything perfect? No. But they did entertain.”
