Dream goals lift Young Boys to the top of the Super League

Under the bright lights of Wankdorf, a bicycle kick in the 37th minute set the tone as Young Boys turned a 1‑0 deficit into a 4‑2 victory over promoted Vaduz in the fourth round of the Swiss Super League on Saturday.

Dream goals ignite the comeback

In the first half the Bernese gave away a lead twice. Joël Monteiro opened the scoring in the fourth minute, and Kaly Sène, who had supplied the assist, responded with a perfect bicycle kick from a Lewin Blum cross to make it 2‑1.

German midfielder Milos Cocic answered for the guests, finding the net twice before the break, keeping Vaduz in the contest despite the loss of the lead.

Second‑half surge seals the win

After the interval Alvyn Sanches restored the advantage. Dominik Pech intercepted a Vaduz pass, laid it across, and Sanches dribbled in tight space before slotting the ball into the top corner.

Vaduz continued to press but failed to create clear chances, leaving the Bernese in control of the match.

YB climbs to the top

In the 87th minute Armin Gigovic delivered a spectacular goal, his outward‑turning long‑range effort leaving goalkeeper Leon Schaffran powerless and sealing the victory.

The win gave Young Boys their third triumph in four games, raising them to ten points and the top of the Super League table, while Vaduz remains last with no points.

Next Saturday Young Boys face FC Basel, and Vaduz host GC the following day, continuing the season’s key fixtures.

The match provided fans with abundant entertainment and highlights, the afternoon’s standout scene being Sène’s bicycle‑kick showcase of skill and class.
