Done Deal Richardson Le Havre eyes €8m option from Fiorentina

🇮🇹 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Le Havre moved swiftly to plug a midfield void by securing a season‑long loan for 24‑year‑old Amir Richardson, a player who returns to the club where he began his youth career in 2019. The Done Deal Richardson Le Havre arrangement includes an €8 million buy‑option that could make the move permanent, and it follows his disappointing spell at ACF Fiorentina in Florence, Italy.

Fiorentina have agreed to the loan with the option to buy for €8 million, a deal that ties the French club Le Havre to the Italian side for the upcoming season. Both clubs confirmed the terms in official statements.

Multiple sources, including L’Equipe and Parisien, say the final paperwork is ready and Richardson will travel for a medical on Friday or Saturday. The club expects the medical to be completed before the loan officially commences.

Richardson arrived in Florence in the summer of 2024 from Stade Reims for a transfer valued at €9 million plus add‑ons. His signing was intended to bolster the midfield after the club’s previous campaign.

During his time at ACF Fiorentina he made 43 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Although he featured regularly, his impact was limited and the club decided to move him on.

In January 2026 he was sent on loan to FC Copenhagen, but under new coach Fabio Grosso he found no place in the current squad. The loan spell ended without a permanent move, prompting his return to France.

Richardson is a Morocco international who holds nine senior caps for Morocco after representing France at youth level. His dual national experience adds depth to Le Havre’s midfield options.

Fiorentina also confirmed that Robin Gosens agreed a loan to Schalke 04 with an obligation to buy for €2.5 million plus bonuses at season’s end, highlighting the club’s broader transfer activity.

Images by Gabriele Maltinti/Getty capture Richardson scoring in the UEFA Europa League 2024/25 League Phase MD6 match against LASK at Stadio Artemio Franchi in FLORENCE, ITALY on DECEMBER 12, 2024. The goal was a highlight of a season that fell short of expectations.

Le Havre will assess Richardson’s performances over the loan period before deciding whether to trigger the €8 million buy‑option, a decision that will shape the club’s midfield strategy for the coming years.
