Doku turns the match around at Anfield, the Devil claims a decisive brace (VIDEO)
In the iconic Anfield stadium, Jérémy Doku burst onto the scene in the second half, giving the Red Devils a moment of grace captured on video, a striking proof of his return to form against Liverpool.
Doku changes the course of the match
The Belgian, who started on the bench, came on in the 56ᵉ minute of the clash between Liverpool and Manchester City. His entrance immediately altered the tempo of the game, the young winger establishing himself as a decisive factor.
Barely a few minutes after his arrival, Doku provoked Gravenberch's second yellow card, forcing his team to play with a numerical advantage for more than half an hour, an advantage exploited brilliantly.
The decisive role of the Red Devils
After Romelu Lukaku's assist and Kevin De Bruyne's brace, Doku continued the attacking chain. In the 65ᵉ minute, his deflected shot allowed Erling Haaland to open the scoring for the Citizens.
Three minutes later, Doku scored the second goal, a curled strike into the top corner after a provocation and a right‑footed curl, taking the score to 0‑2 for Manchester City.
He also took part in the build‑up to the third goal, delivered ten minutes later, thanks to Ryan Cherki, thus consolidating the final 0‑3.
