Diogo Costa highlights communication before Porto‑City duel

On the morning of the first matchday of the Champions League group stage, the captain of the dragons, Diogo Costa, attended the pre‑match press conference for the clash between FC Porto and Manchester City and answered a question from the programme Bola na Rede.

The programme Bola na Rede was present at the CTFD Jorge Costa, where it was able to pose its question to the captain of the dragons.

Bola na Rede asked: «In this game you will face a great team, but individually one of the opponents you will face is Erling Haaland. When you face a player who is among the best, if not the best in the world, in finding spaces in the big box, how important is your communication with the defensive line?»

Diogo Costa replied: «Communication is always important. But attitude and concentration are also very important. As the manager said, we have a special focus, because it is a team with a very high valuation, but we look at all games in the same way. We will want to compete.»

A post shared by Bola na Rede on Instagram released the interview, reinforcing the message that communication and concentration are crucial to face Erling Haaland and the English team.
