Didier Deschamps rejects the Turkish proposal and turns to a restaurant in Dubai

Free since his departure from the French national team, Didier Deschamps has turned down the Turkish Federation's offer to take over the national side, while preparing a new entrepreneurial project in Dubai. The 57-year‑old coach has not yet found a bench, but he is not staying idle.

Refusal of the Turkish proposal

According to reports, the Turkish Federation recently contacted Didier Deschamps to offer him the head of the national team. The French coach is said to have declined this possibility, preferring to take his time before choosing his next destination. This decision shows that Deschamps does not want to commit hastily to a new managerial role.

The refusal comes as the French side remain without a manager since Deschamps' departure. Despite the lack of a position, the former boss of the French team is not idle and continues to review proposals that may arise, without rushing.

Investment in a restaurant in Dubai

Meanwhile, Didier Deschamps is investing in a high‑end restaurant called “L’annexe”, slated to open in October in Dubai. The venue will offer a view of the Burj Khalifa, a lounge and a pool, aimed at a premium clientele.

Deschamps will also be involved in the preparations related to the opening, devoting part of his time to this entrepreneurial project. This activity allows him to stay busy during his transition period, while also enjoying free moments with his family, playing padel and making occasional appearances around football.

Although this Dubai project does not mean that Didier Deschamps has turned the page on football, he remains open to a new adventure, whether it be a club role or a national team job. He will consider the proposals that arise, without any desire to take up a position in haste.
