Declan Rice tells Kevin De Bruyne Arsenal still troubled by Napoli
Arsenal secured a 1‑0 victory over Napoli on Wednesday night in the Champions League, with Martin Odegaard’s late strike clinching the win. Declan Rice said Kevin De Bruyne still gave his side a lot of problems despite the result, a point he raised in a Prime Video interview.
Kevin De Bruyne earned his first start of the campaign against Arsenal, having featured only as a substitute three times in Serie A this season.
Rice, who has faced De Bruyne many times in the Premier League, described the Belgian as ‘smart, moving into really good spaces’ and said the midfielder still caused a lot of problems even after Arsenal’s win.
Mikel Arteta exchanged friendly words with De Bruyne after the final whistle, calling him one of his favourite‑ever players and praising him as one of the best midfielders he has ever watched.
