Dead body discovered at Charlton Athletic’s Valley stadium
Charlton Athletic announced on Wednesday 19 August that a 33‑year‑old man’s body was found at The Valley, the club’s home ground in Londres, during the first round of the Championship, the Segunda División de Inglaterra. Police are investigating the death, suspecting a fall from height, and have appealed for information from supporters.
Police were alerted today about an incident that occurred in the early hours of Monday at the stadium. A man died at the scene, and officers have asked anyone with information to call 101, referencing case 2809/18AUG.
The club identified the deceased as a 33‑year‑old man. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities examine the circumstances of his death.

The club also appealed to supporters for any details that could aid the inquiry.
