Courtois becomes Belgian owner of Real Gloves for Real
Under the stadium lights, Thibaut Courtois saved Pape Gueye’s shot in the 61st minute, then, in the 76th, the attempt by Carlos Romero, securing Real Madrid’s 1‑0 victory over Villarreal in La Liga. Tonight, the Belgian goalkeeper wore for the first time the gloves of the brand he has just acquired.
A decisive role at the heart of success
Courtois played a very important role in Real Madrid’s 1‑0 victory over Villarreal. His decisive saves in the second half kept the score level. The Belgian goalkeeper, who is no longer a starter for Belgium, kept his goal untouched.
A great evening for the Red Devil, who played his first match with the new pair of gloves. Two interventions, in the 61st minute against Pape Gueye and in the 76th against Carlos Romero, allowed Real to maintain its lead. The success comes two matchdays before the Clasico against FC Barcelona.
An investment that goes beyond the pitch
After three years of collaboration, the goalkeeper ended his stint with Elite Sports. He chose to trust Real Gloves, a Belgian company specialized in goalkeeper equipment. Courtois now wears the gloves of the brand he has bought.
The acquisition was carried out by Bruwag, the company Courtois owns with his associate Simon Wagner. Bruwag, based in Limburg, distributes sporting goods and bought Real Gloves during the summer. This deal makes Courtois the new face of the brand.
This is not the goalkeeper’s first investment. He holds stakes in the football clubs Genk, Le Mans and CD Extremadura. He has also invested in e‑sport, notably with Astralis and DUX Gaming.
According to estimates, Courtois’ net worth would exceed €88 million. This fortune reflects both his sporting performances and his various investments.
