Lens Midfielder Thomasson Warns Against Overconfidence Ahead of Final

🇫🇷

RC Lens will face OGC Nice in the Coupe de France final in three days. Midfielder Adrien Thomasson warned against any excess confidence ahead of the match.

The final marks Lens' first appearance in the competition's decisive game in 28 years. The club is looking to end a long wait for a trophy.

Nice are currently threatened by a possible Ligue 1/Ligue 2 play‑off against Saint‑Étienne. Their league situation adds extra pressure to the cup final.

Thomasson said he expects Nice to field their best version in the final. He believes the opponents will be fully motivated.

He rejected the idea that the Aiglons would treat the final lightly. The midfielder stressed that no team can afford to sacrifice a cup final.

Both clubs are preparing intensively for the showdown. Lens hopes to capture its first cup triumph since 1995, while Nice aims to secure silverware despite relegation worries.
