Como's opening night surge puts them ahead in Champions League group

After the break, Assane Diao struck from a Nico Paz delivery in the 54th, while Leipzig pulled one back through Andrija Maksimović, set up by Christopher Nkunku, in the 58th. A fourth goal at the 90th minute sealed the victory.

Como dominated possession with 52 percent, dictating the tempo and punishing the German defence with impressive realism. Leipzig finished the match with three yellow cards, but could not overturn the deficit.
