Como in Rotterdam: Fabregas backs Nico Paz Baturina vs Feyenoord

Como is preparing for the second match of its Champions League history in Rotterdam, with a smile and the awareness that it must surprise. Cesc Fabergas, captain, said he is defending Nico Paz Baturina sword‑in‑hand against Feyenoord.

Fabergas on Paz Baturina's defence

"He is always judged for his assists and goals, obviously, but the 2‑3 most important actions against Roma were his," Fabergas said. "For us he is decisive, strong, continues to develop and is only at the beginning of his third season as a professional."

International experience

Fabergas recalled that Paz Baturina has travelled and played with the national team, adding: "It doesn't worry me, I've been there myself, the highs and lows are normal."

Como coach's analysis

The Larian coach presented the Rotterdam match, noting that European games are easier to analyse because team identities are more precise compared to Italy, where rotations are numerous.

He highlighted Feyenoord's strength, with full‑backs that get forward and a striker capable of doing his job, describing them as a strong team in the league.

Word from the Croat

The Croat present at the conference spoke about his form, admitting he had been ill for 2‑3 weeks and had lost rhythm. He is now back at full strength, after playing 15 minutes against Roma.

He expects a beautiful football match between two great teams and believes that "we can win with the mentality we have".
