Como aim for a youth record: Markovic and Rajkovic in view

Como has confirmed its role as a hub of attraction for young international talents, with active scouting focusing on Vasilije Markovic of Austria Vienna and the record‑breaking Norwegian Gabriel Larsen Rajkovic. Both are being followed by Mirwan Suwarso, head of the ‘nativo’ programme, who constantly monitors the best prospects in Europe.

Active scouting on European talents

The ‘nativo’ programme of Como is more active than ever. Mirwan Suwarso, head of scouting, constantly watches the best football prospects in Europe and beyond.

Among the names on the list is Vasilije Markovic, born in 2008, already vice‑champion of the Under‑17 World Cup in 2025. He made thirteen appearances in the Bundesliga last season and eight so far with Austria Vienna, in addition to a debut for the senior national team.

Como's radar also includes Gabriel Larsen Rajkovic, born in 2011, who at fifteen years and twenty days made his debut in the Eliteserien with Valerenga, becoming the youngest ever. His goal against Bodo‑Glimt is the second earliest after Martin Ødegaard, attracting interest from across Europe.

Both youngsters are at the centre of Como's attention, which follows them closely to assess a possible integration. The club's strategy aims to turn these talents into protagonists of Italian football.

With the ‘nativo’ programme in full expansion, Como continues to observe and filter name after name, consolidating its reputation as a destination for the best European prospects.
