Ciro Immobile ends career after brief Paris FC stint
Paris FC Ciro Immobile announced his retirement on Friday, confirming that his spell with the Ligue 1 side will be his final chapter as a professional footballer. The 36‑year‑old forward, who joined the club in the winter transfer window, shared the news in a video posted by the club on its official social channels.

Paris FC released a short video on Friday in which Immobile, aged 36, addressed his teammates directly. He confirmed that he had joined the French side during the previous winter transfer window. The club disseminated the announcement across its official social media platforms.
In the recording he said, “It is not an easy decision because you are incredible guys.” He added that he wanted to spend more time with his family, who had accompanied him throughout his career. Immobile explained that persistent pain and an inability to give his best forced his choice to end his playing days.
The striker appeared visibly moved as he spoke about his departure. He expressed gratitude toward his colleagues for their support during his brief stint at the club.
Career highlights
Immobile’s career spanned several top‑flight leagues, including periods at Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla FC, Beşiktaş JK and Paris FC. He began his professional journey in Italy after progressing through the Juventus youth system.
He lifted the Coppa Italia with Lazio in 2019. He won the German Supercup in 2014 while with Borussia Dortmund.
He added a Turkish Supercup medal in 2024 during his spell at Beşiktaş. Immobile finished as Serie A runner‑up in 2009 with Juventus and again in 2023 with Lazio. His most celebrated international triumph was the Euro 2021 title with Italy.
