Chelsea's front three tally 14 goal contributions in first four league games

Chelsea's front three combined for 14 goal involvements in the first four Premier League matches, a tally that includes three goals from Morgan Rogers, three from João Pedro and two from Cole Palmer. The figures came after the Blues drew 2‑2 with Hull City on the 12th, with Rogers opening the scoring.

Rogers struck seven minutes in, firing a left‑foot shot after a pass from João Pedro. Hull City responded with two first‑half goals, but a Palmer pass back to João Pedro levelled the game in the 66th minute.

Morgan Rogers, who arrived from Aston Villa for a British record £117 million, has already contributed three goals and one assist this season. He wears the number 9 shirt, a number previously worn by João Pedro after the latter switched to it this campaign.

João Pedro, now wearing the number 9, has matched Rogers with three goals and added three assists, making him the most prolific creator among the trio. His involvement includes the opening goal against Hull City and the equaliser later in the match.

Cole Palmer, who dons the number 10, has contributed two goals and two assists. His assist to João Pedro in the 66th minute was pivotal in securing the draw.

Defence remains a concern

Despite the attacking output, Chelsea have conceded nine goals in four league games, the third‑highest total in the division. The defensive frailties have been highlighted as a major issue for new manager Xabi Alonso, who took charge at the start of the season.
