Chelsea and Tottenham add fire to Summerville chase as clubs vie
Crysencio Summerville, the 24‑year‑old Dutch winger who netted two goals and provided an assist at the World Cup, has attracted renewed interest from several elite clubs, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur now joining Manchester United and Paris Saint‑Germain in the pursuit, according to reports.
Tottenham narrowly avoided relegation and is set to strengthen. They have already allocated €60 million for Jan Paul van Hecke. The defender is not the only Dutch international attracting interest; the club is also considering Summerville.
Chelsea, fresh from West Ham's relegation, see an opening to sign Summerville. They are also eyeing Jarrod Bowen, but West Ham are determined to retain him.
West Ham United have set an asking price of €50‑55 million for Summerville. The club also expects midfielder Mateus Fernandes to depart this summer.
Earlier reports indicated Manchester United and Paris Saint‑Germain are also in contention for the winger. Summerville's World Cup performances have raised his profile across Europe.
The competing interests from English clubs and continental giants highlight the winger's rising market value. His next move will likely be decided in the upcoming transfer window.
