Chaos in Egypt's Dallas hotel: assistant coach clashes with US officer

Assistant coach Ibrahim Hassan was pushed away by an American police officer during a meeting between player Trezeguet and a young supporter at the Egypt national team hotel in Dallas today, sparking a heated confrontation. Ibrahim Hassan joined Trezeguet and the fan for a photo, when a US officer intervened, telling him "Back off!". Hassan responded loudly, shouting "Don’t push me! Don’t push me!" as the tension rose. Another member of the Egyptian staff shouted "Are you crazy?!" at the officer, while Hassan escalated further, yelling "F*ck you!" and attempting to storm the officer before other staff members restrained him. The exact reason for the officer's intervention remains unclear; Egyptian media reported the hotel was unusually crowded and suggested security concerns may have prompted the action. The incident comes as Egypt enjoys a strong World Cup campaign, having finished second in the group that also featured Belgium, known as the "Rode Duivels". Egypt will face Australia in the round of 16 on Friday, with the team hoping to maintain its momentum after the hotel episode.
