CEO calls for unity after Lierse’s 3‑0 loss in Challenger Pro League
Lierse supporters are already uneasy after a turbulent pre‑season and a 3‑0 defeat on the Challenger Pro League opening day in Virton, prompting chief executive Yorik Torreele to issue an open letter urging the club to “form one front” ahead of the upcoming match against Patro Eisden.
The heavy 3‑0 loss in Virton has left Lierse fans uneasy about the team’s prospects.
Supporter group Pallieter 30 has voiced concerns, questioning the club’s conduct both on the field and behind the scenes.
In his open letter, CEO Yorik Torreele stressed the need for calm, stating that the club must concentrate on a single front to navigate the challenges ahead. “We must especially form one front,” he wrote.
Torreele’s appeal arrives just days before Lierse’s clash with Patro Eisden, a fixture that will test whether the squad can rebound from the opening setback.
Club officials acknowledge that the pre‑season preparation was erratic, a factor they believe contributed to the disappointing start in the Challenger Pro League.
