Celik, Spalletti's second most used, shines in European win

In the heart of Torino's stadium, Zeki Celik celebrates his first goal for Juventus, scored in the clear 5‑0 victory over NEC Nijmegen last night, thus opening a promising European adventure for the Bianconeri and a personal satisfaction for the Turkish full‑back.

The match, lacking any history, allowed the Bianconeri to start their European campaign in the best possible way, with a decisive result that highlighted the defensive solidity and offensive effectiveness of the new coach Luciano Spalletti.

"Great start to our European adventure and thrilled about my first goal with this club. Let's keep it up," Celik wrote on social media, expressing enthusiasm for the milestone achieved.

The Turkish defender, who arrived from Roma to provide experience and versatility, is becoming a regular fixture in Spalletti's rotations, confirming the coach's confidence in his ability to contribute both defensively and in attack.

Minutes and role of Celik

Celik is the second most used player in the Juventus squad at this stage of the season, with 427 minutes played out of a total of 450 minutes available.

Only Kalulu is ahead of him, the sole player to have featured every single minute, underscoring Celik's importance in Spalletti's new tactical setup.

The first goal for the Old Lady merely marks the beginning of a season in which the full‑back could cement his role as a reference point for the Bianconeri defence.
