Carrick believes Man Utd squad improved after summer business

Michael Carrick says he is convinced Manchester United’s squad has improved after the summer business, despite a lower net spend than the new arrivals from Coventry and Ipswich. The former midfielder praised the depth added and urged fans to tune in for the Everton clash on Super Sunday, kick‑off at two pm.

Summer business and squad depth

The summer transfer window saw United finish with a lower net spend than the incoming players from Coventry City and Ipswich Town. While the club did not break the bank, the additions are intended to bolster squad depth across the season.

Carrick, now part of the coaching staff, said the new faces have already integrated well and that the team’s collective spirit feels stronger than last term.
