Cancelo and Adeyemi face no surprises in their international matches

This Thursday Joao Cancelo and Karim Adeyemi were the only Barcelona first‑team internationals to feature with their national sides; the Portuguese full‑back was substituted in the 90th minute of Portugal's tight 1‑0 win over Wales, while the German winger played almost 80 minutes in the 1‑1 draw between Germany and the Netherlands.

Barça Internationals

According to the EFE agency, journalist Jordi Batalla reported that the Barcelona players Joao Cancelo and Karim Adeyemi were the two first‑team internationals who played this Thursday with their respective national sides. They represented Portugal and Germany, respectively.

Cancelo, a Portuguese full‑back, took part in Portugal's narrow 1‑0 victory over Wales, and was substituted in the 90th minute, ending his appearance without incident.

Adeyemi, a German winger, played almost 80 minutes in the 1‑1 draw between Germany and the Netherlands, a match overseen by Xavi. He finished without any physical issues.

Both finished their matches injury‑free, easing Barcelona's biggest concern during this break. Fermín talked about the Champions League, the competition with Olmo and the signing that surprised him most, Ferran Martínez, and that will be the international marathon for Barcelona players, according to columnist Laura Aparicio.

Interestingly, both operated on the right, a position where Lamine Yamal is untouchable at Barcelona. Meanwhile, Jesse Bisiwu came on in the 85th minute of the Belgium Under‑21 1‑1 draw with Belarus, and on Friday the Barcelona internationals' schedule will continue with Raphinha against Australia, Koundé against Turkey, Hamza Abdelkarim against Angola and those led by Marc Bernal and Xavi Espart against Finland.
