CAF Zone Ouest draw sends ASEC into tough group for Ligue Champions

On a bright afternoon in Ouagadougou, the CAF Zone Ouest B draw for the women's Champions League qualifications took place, confirming ASEC's placement in a daunting group for the Ligue Champions as Burkina Faso prepares to host the upcoming tournament.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted the draw this afternoon, determining the match‑ups for the qualification phase of the CAF women's Champions League in the West B zone. All participating clubs learned their opponents for the group stage at the same time.

Burkina Faso will serve as the host nation for the competition, providing venues for the group matches. The host role gives the local side USFA a home advantage in Groupe A.

Groupe A comprises USFA of Burkina Faso, Dynamique FC from Bénin, and Association Sportive de la Kozah representing Togo. These three clubs form the complete lineup of Groupe A.

Groupe B features ASEC Mimosa from Côte d’Ivoire, AMPEM Darkoa of Ghana, EDO Queens from Nigéria, and AS Garde Nationale representing Niger. These four teams complete the lineup for Groupe B.

La compétition runs from 23 August to 5 September 2026, with each group playing a round‑robin format. Matches will be scheduled throughout the host country during this period.
