BVB's market value soars to highest since Haaland and Bellingham
Marktwerte Bundesliga BVB reaches its highest squad valuation since the days of Haaland and Bellingham, sitting at €588 million after a €23 million rise in the latest update on 2 October 2026. Thirteen of the eighteen clubs posted a plus, underscoring a broadly upward trend.
BVB reaches record value
Borussia Dortmund’s market value now matches the level seen in December 2021, when the team was valued at €604 million, driven largely by Erling Haaland (€150 million) and Jude Bellingham (€75 million). The club added €23 million this round, putting it second only to FC Bayern’s €1.04 billion squad.
In the same update, Bayer Leverkusen posted the biggest single increase, adding €40 million to reach €520 million, while SC Freiburg and RB Leipzig rose by €33 million and €27 million respectively.
Augsburg's rapid climb
FC Augsburg, currently seventh with seven points, more than doubled its valuation from €93.1 million in February 2025 to €192 million after a €20 million boost. Sporting director Benjamin Weber praised the new best mark, noting the club’s steady ascent.
Four clubs – 1. FC Köln, FC Augsburg, promoted SV Elversberg and SC Paderborn – each set a new record, while nine players saw their personal values rise.
Clubs facing devaluation
At the opposite end, Hamburger SV suffered the steepest decline, losing €8.1 million to settle at €145 million after a 2‑1 win over 1. FC Köln. Borussia Mönchengladbach, Union Berlin, Mainz 05 and Eintracht Frankfurt also recorded drops, ranging from €0.5 million to €5.5 million.
Despite the setbacks, VfB Stuttgart climbed to fifth place with a €20 million increase, reaching €400 million, while the league’s bottom three clubs each posted a negative swing.
The update also highlighted player‑level movements: Noahkai Banks rose by €5 million to €25 million, Anton Kade by €5 million to €15 million, and Chrislain Matsima by €3 million to €25 million. In total, nine players were upgraded and two downgraded.
Promoted sides made notable strides – SV Elversberg’s squad value jumped to €74.3 million after loan signings, and SC Paderborn rose to €53.9 million, with captain Laurin Curda gaining €2 million.
