BVB reaches highest squad value since Haaland and Bellingham – four records

In the current market value update of the Bundesliga, 13 of 18 clubs post a gain, but only four set new records: BVB, 1. FC Köln, FC Augsburg as well as the promoted SV Elversberg and SC Paderborn. While BVB reaches the highest squad value since the Haaland and Bellingham era, the other three clubs show how strongly the values in the league are rising.

New record values at Köln, Augsburg, Elversberg and Paderborn

1. FC Köln sets a record despite a marginal gain of 1,6 Millionen Euro, reaching 158 Millionen Euro. FC Augsburg has more than doubled its squad value since February 2025 from 93,1 Millionen Euro and now stands at 192 Millionen Euro – a gain of 20 Millionen Euro. The promoted SV Elversberg and SC Paderborn also climb into new realms: Elversberg rises after the summer to 74,3 Millionen Euro, Paderborn to 53,9 Millionen Euro.

BVB reaches highest value since December 2021

The BVB‑squad is now worth 588 Millionen Euro, matching its value last seen in December 2021 when Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham were part of the team. At that time the value was 604 Millionen Euro, with Haaland at 150 Millionen Euro and Bellingham at 75 Millionen Euro as the main drivers. In the current transfer window sporting director Ole Book increased the value from 491 Millionen Euro to 565 Millionen Euro through signings such as Konstantinos Karetsas and Giannis Konstantelias, despite a transfer deficit of 70 Millionen Euro.

Individual players record significant gains: Noahkai Banks ( 25 Millionen Euro), Anton Kade ( 15 Millionen Euro), Chrislain Matsima ( 25 Millionen Euro), Fabian Rieder ( 15 Millionen Euro) and Hennes Behrens ( 8 Millionen Euro) each receive a gain of three to five Millionen Euro.

FC Bayern remains at the top of the table with a squad value of 1,04 Milliarden Euro, followed by BVB. Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig sit as third and fourth behind the two leading clubs. VfB Stuttgart sits in fifth place with 400 Millionen Euro after a gain of 20 Millionen Euro.

Five clubs record a decline: Hamburger SV drops by 8,1 Millionen Euro to 145 Millionen Euro, Borussia Mönchengladbach to 135 Millionen Euro, Union Berlin to 111 Millionen Euro, Mainz 05 to 160 Millionen Euro and Eintracht Frankfurt to 288 Millionen Euro.

Transfermarkt market values are generated through various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community. Discussions in forums, analyses and contributions from support and premium service offerings feed into the assessment. The values are not equivalent to actual transfer fees paid, but reflect a broad consensus from the community, gaming and video contributions.
